Robert Noyce co-founder of Fairchild Semiconductor in 1957 and Intel in 1968 was born in December 12, 1927 Burlington, Iowa. He was the third of four sons.His father was Rev. Ralph Brewster Noyce and his mother was Harriet May Norton. His nickname was the Mayor of Silicon Valley. Noyce died from a heart attack at home on June 3, 1990 at the Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas
